Required percentage for jee mains 2017 – Board Marks Weightage for droppers (Normalization): The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) invite Joint Entrance Exam Main (JEE Main) 2017 and JEE (Advance) Main 2017 for admission in various IITs (Indian Institute of Technology), NITs (National Institutes of Technology), CFTIs (Central Funded Technical Institute) and IIEST Shibpur.
Latest Update (1st January 2016): CBSE has been released New Rules and Regulations 2017 along with Required percentage for Droppers of JEE Main. Last date of submission application is January 16, 2017. Candidates are informed to assess regularly authorized website or our website edunic.in for further update.
The interested and eligible candidates can apply through online on or before 16 January 2017 for the JEE Main 2017 and JEE (Advance) Main 2017.
Required percentage in IIT JEE Main 2017 for Droppers
There shall be no weightage for the 12th class marks in calculating the ranks in the JEE (Main) examination 2017.
The Candidates to qualify for the admission in the IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE (Advanced)/JEE (Main) 2017 ranks.
Board Marks Weightage in IIT JEE Main 2017
- No weightage for 12th class /boards exams or qualifying exam marks in IIT Jee main 2017.
- For General and OBC Candidates should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards.
- For SC/ST students the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class or qualifying examination.
IIT Joint Entrance Exam Main 2017 for dropper
If a dropper student has not obtained 75% marks in 12th or equivalent exams will he only not be eligible for admission in IIT/NIT in 2017 or will he also be barred from giving JEE Mains 2017.
It Means we can say that admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs and CFTs will be offered to those students who secure minimum 75% marks (for general category) and minimum 65% marks (for SC/ST candidate).

Weitghtage of 12th exam marks in IIT Jee Main 2017
No weightage for 12th exams or equivalent marks for ranking in JEE Main 2017 examination. If you have got less than 75% marks in 12th or equivalent exams. You can’t eligible for Jee main 2017.
So I advised to you that you don’t fill your application for JEE Main 2017 to admission in the IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs.
