APSET Syllabus 2017
Andhra University Visakhapatnam is conducting the Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET) for the year 2017.
The State Eligibility Test (SET) is based on the pattern of the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by CBSE on the behalf of the UGC.
Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test Syllabus 2017
Paper-I shall be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate.
It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.
The syllabus prescribed by UGC-CSIR and UGC-NET for paper-I, Paper-II and paper-III without negative marks are adopted for APSET.
The question paper I of APSET which is common for all candidates will be bi-lingual (English & Telugu).
Paper-II and Paper-III will be bi-lingual for specific subjects like
- Political Science
- Public Administration
- Social Work.
The question paper-II and paper- III of all other subjects (except Languages) will be in English only.

APSET 2017 Exam Pattern
Paper I: Sixty objective type questions of 2 marks each will be given, out of which the candidate would be required to answer any 50 (fifty).
In the event of the candidate attempted more than 50 questions, the first 50 questions attempted by the candidate would be evaluated.

Paper-II shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions based on the subject selected by the candidate.
Paper-III will consist of 75 objective type compulsory questions from the subject selected by the candidate.
Each question of paper II and III will carry 2 marks.
